Goals and Ambitions: Where I'm Headed
Writing goals down in public is uncomfortable, which is a good reason to do it. Here’s what I’m aiming at.
Get deeper in DFIR and vulnerability research
I want to be someone who can both reconstruct what happened and find what’s broken in the first place. That means more mobile research and more CVEs. It also means more time on anti-forensics and counterintelligence, the areas where I think the field still has the most to learn. I’m working toward GEIR, building on GCFA, BTL1 and Security+.
Finish my degree
I’m a Computer Science student at UNSW, due to finish in 2028. Study alongside a full-on security schedule is hard, but the fundamentals matter more the further into research I get.
Keep speaking
I want to give more talks, in more places, and make them better each time. Conference stages have taught me more than any course. I also want to publish every deck, so the talks page is the place to find them.
Build things in the open
More tools, more write-ups, more of the research on this site rather than in a private folder. If I learn something, someone else should be able to learn it faster.
Keep making music
Music stays in the plan. It makes me a better communicator and a calmer person. I’d like to release more, and take it further than I have so far.
Help people earlier in the path
A lot of people helped me get here. I want to do the same: mentoring, answering questions, and being easy to reach. If you’re starting out in DFIR or mobile security, get in touch.
I’ll revisit this list in a year and see how I did.
